To provide the best value to our members, we aim to use a set of core suppliers offering good trade discounts and/or an invoicing facility. This list is growing, and if you know a supplier worth consider, please contact the Treasurer.
Booker Wholesale
Booker Wholesale sell a variety of food, drink, and business suppliers to the retail and catering trade.
Store access is via our Booker Card, which should be obtained from the Treasurer. To view current prices, you should log into their website using our organisation login – this can accessed by the committee through Google Drive, under Procurement\Suppliers.
Kombat UK
Kombat are a supplier of wholesale military equipment. Their products tend to be robust and very good value, but may not offer the same technical performance as those obtained through a mainstream outdoor supplier.
We are currently pending approval for their trade account, after which the committee will be able to access/order from their trade prices online using our account.
Digimap
Digimap is a service provided by EDINA at the University of Edinburgh. They offer free access to Ordnance Survey mapping, as well as Geological and Historical maps. Access for academic users is FREE through JISC and the University of Bristol, provided the use is for an approved purpose. Licences are per-user, must be applied for, and subsequent usage must adhere to those licence terms – choosing the ‘General Interest’ usage category will usually lead to instant approval.
Maps can be generated and printed to-scale at 1:25 000 and 1:50 000, but also one can also access maps as detailed at 1:500 scale. These maps may be used by committee members for route planning, but under our licence terms please ensure you hold a valid licence before they can be shared with you.
